Overview

Qualcomm’s PM6650™ device is a member of QCT’s powerOne™ family of advanced power management chips, integrating all power management, general housekeeping, and functions supporting handset-level user interfaces into a single mixed-signal IC. Supporting 3G CDMA systems, including WCDMA (UMTS), the PM6650 device provides a tremendous savings in size and bill-of-materials (BOM), as well as increased battery life with high-efficiency step-down switch-mode power supplies (SMPSs) for feature-rich wireless devices.

The PM6650 device provides charging functions (including a USB charging option) and voltage regulation for the various Mobile Station Modem (MSM™) products, radioOne® RF chips, and all other MSM-supported peripheral features designed for high-end, high-speed 3G wireless devices.
