HSDPA

HSDPA brings high-speed downlink data capabilities to WCDMA (UMTS) networks and allows wireless users to stream high-quality video and audio, quickly browse graphics-heavy websites, and run other advanced applications on mobile handsets. HSDPA is an evolution of existing WCDMA networks that provides a powerful boost in data rates and an increase in overall network capacity.

HSUPA

HSUPA (High-Speed Uplink Packet Access) provides uplink data transmission service to WCDMA (UMTS) networks, offering high-speed wireless broadband capabilities that allow true mobility. Mobile Display Digital Interface (MDDI)

Qualcomm’s MDDI standard provides a proven solution for the interconnect challenge between the upper and lower clamshell in a flip phone. The MDDI high-speed solution supports variable data rates of up to 3.2 Gbps. The solution decreases the number of signals that connect the digital baseband controller with the LCD display and camera from as many as 90 to as few as eight pins plus power.
